![]() He frequently points out in his writings that religion is a deeply personal thing, and it's not up to other people to tell you if you're doing it right or wrong. He originally began training in Wicca under author and High Priest Raven Grimassi, but after a few years left to pursue solitary practice. While Cunningham often comes under fire from lineaged Wiccans who point out that his books are in fact about NeoWicca, rather than traditional Wicca, his works typically offer a lot of practical advice for people who practice as solitaries. He passed away in 1993 at age 36, ten years after he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Scott Cunningham created dozens of books on NeoWicca and modern Paganism, many of which have been repackaged and reprinted posthumously by his publishers. ![]() Etat/Condition: très bon, minimes traces d'usures, propre/very good, minor shelfwear, clean. ![]() 5/29/2023 0 Comments Hall of smoke hm long![]() ![]() Anyone who likes to read books with the world’s religion or mythology as a big part of the story will really enjoy this novel. In many ways, it reminded me of Greek mythology with its many stories of how the gods came into power as well as their constant interaction with humans. Not only that, but these deities are actual characters in the story who interact with each other and with the mortals they govern over. It truly is a very complex set of religions built into this world. There are old gods and goddesses that were bound and cast out by the newer ones. There are main gods/goddesses which are above the lower gods/goddesses that follow them. I found it so interesting to learn about the gods and goddesses that watch over this fantasy world and all the layers of worship. There is so much complexity to the world, its religions, and its cultures. However, that is easier said than done, and when she finally finds him, will she have the strength to carry out her orders? Hessa’s only hope is to continue on the last mission she was given from her goddess. She might be the only Eangi left in the world at all. Her goddess has abandoned her and her people, the Eangen. ![]() 5/28/2023 0 Comments Hands of my father myron uhlberg![]() ![]() A young boy shares the excitement of Robinson's rookie season with his deaf father.Įach day he listens eagerly to the Brooklyn Dodgers games on the radio. ![]() Jackie Robinson is the new first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers-and the first black player in Major League Baseball. Writing what you know is good advice, but you also must understand what you know in order to write well. Many writing experts advise, “write what you know.” Do you agree with this? And what practical advice would you give an aspiring author? The idea of writing a book that would be both a biography of my two deaf parents, and a memoir, was my first inspiration, but until I thought of the title, Hands of My Father, I didn’t know how to begin. ![]() Which came first: the idea for the book, the title, or a passage from the book?
